Cody Feechan - Winner of the ‘Home Grown Talent’ at the Kingdom FM Local Hero Awards 2019, Cody Feechan maintains her momentum with her third release of 2020, “Kingdom Caller” – an inspiring harmonica-driven gem that features Cody’s powerful signature vocals and her creative flair for using a variety of instruments to achieve her musical visions.
Discussing the inspiration and lyrical concept, Cody reveals: “Kingdom Caller was written about mental health; a man struggling mentally to the point of being delusional and believe he has everything he could want or need, when in reality he doesn’t have much at all and is very much alone”
Reflecting on her direction, Cody elaborates: “I think it’s difficult to pinpoint the genre of this song: I think it’s a mix of a Rock-Ballad with Blues hints. The harmonica plays a crucial role – which I love – to me it completes the song. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to use a harmonica for this song, and I deliberately aimed for the bluesy-feel. The song is very different from what I’ve done before, but I suppose that risk and experimentation is part of my growth as an artist pushing in different directions”.
