“No Use Crying” is the first tune on the album with a piano lead and it shines so bright as a result of being an anomaly to the flow of the record. The delivery and the climax are written nicely and the tell-all, heart on sleeve lyrics are not only relatable, but definitely have been experienced by every soul. – Bryan Blake, Vinyl Lollipops
“No Use Crying”
Themes of lost love and emotional scars endure as this dreamy ballad and whimsical pop song begins. The piano performance is especially notable, as it largely supplants the guitar in the mix. Note the clever piano flourish as Sandler sings about “the sparkle in [her] crescent eyes.” After the bridge, there’s a bit of impish misdirection with a couple moments of silence, then the guitar screams into an impactful solo that makes you feel like you’re soaring through the clouds. - Sean Frasier, President Wise Blood Records & Staff Writer Decibel Magazine
