Indie Rock’n’Rollers Docksuns are back with another honest and relatable number, reminiscing
about a rocky relationship they had broken away from, shaking off their melancholy and diving
into another chapter on the band’s ever evolving sonic journey.
A sequel of sorts, ‘So Cold Love’ continues the climactic story that previous track ‘Blew Up a
Kiss’ started, a progression the band were keen to explore and delve into as they grow and mature
past their previous experiences. Although it was written by vocalist James, the track became a
collaborative labour of love, with each band member helping to complete the jigsaw before
entering the studio.
Docksuns have made a name for themselves for consistent, solid songwriting and instrumentals,
with ‘So Cold Love’ being no exception. Clearly, their hard work has been noticed, with BBC
Introducing and Amazing Radio coverage, numerous glowing reviews from blogs up and down the
country and a vocal and enthusiastic following back home in Sunderland.
With the return of live music just around the corner, Docksuns are gearing up for another
successful season of gigs across the North, where they have already become household names in
venues such as Independent in Sunderland and Think Tank in Newcastle. The band have also
previously secured stages at local festivals Sounds of Sunderland and the Sunderland Airshow.
