Recently featured on BBC Introducing in the West, Lille Røde: Danish for Little Red, slaying metaphorical wolves with music. In response to a growing epidemic of mismanaged politics, misguided social interaction and misogyny, Lille Rode offers original pop music. Utilising jazz and blues bass lines along with catchy guitar hooks and vocals. Sigrid meets Gaga.
Created and fronted by Welsh singer/songwriter and former actress Anna Mountford, the Lille Røde Band consists of a delicious pack of wolves from the West Country who have been playing together since 2018. Mountford starred in Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express in her teens and went on to be a regular fixture on British tv. Teaching herself to sing as a child she references Garland, Streisand and 80’s/90’s music as major influences. She began writing her own material in 2010 following a career move to LA. Upon her return to the UK in 2015 her song Meteorite was included in a Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition playlist.
Lille Røde are currently play headline and support gigs/festivals in the South West and are regularly played on BBC Radio Bristol, Radio Bath, Frome FM and Somer Valley FM.
